Pilcrow Lit Fest

Organized by Pilcrow Lit Fest

Cash?
A big thank you to those of you who handed us cash and check donations as we're out and about, most recently from Ben Tanzer at Saturday evening's RAGAD #6 release party reading.

Thanks!
Ooh, Three Fallen Women
Any person who donates $20 between now and 5PM Central on Friday the 25th will be the lucky owner of Pilcrow founder Amy Guth's first novel, Three Fallen Women.

How cool is that?

Donate for a chance to win!
For every $25 you donate via our ChipIn page between today and May 1st, you will be automatically entered in a drawing for a gift certificate to Wishbone (super delicious) Cafe here in Chicago. Donate $25, we'll enter your name once, twice for $50 and so on. Not bad!
How does this help NOLA?
Amy Guth, the founder and Queen of Pilcrow, has been to New Orleans many times. She's been on vacation and been as a panelist at the Tennessee Williams Lit Fest. What she has seen in the last couple years is shocking, the Public Libraries are still desperate states.

So we chose the NOLA Libraries Rebuild campaign as the cause to support with the Lit Fest. These donations you are making via Chip-in are not going directly to the NOLA Rebuild Campaign, but are helping us pay for the odds and ends that will make our fundraising a success.

You gotta use money, to raise money.

So... this money helps us create the festival, where we will host Rebuilt Books a party with a silent auction to support NOLA. Consider yourself a venture capitalist when you give to this fund, allowing more money to be raised.

Pay it forward via the Pilcrow Lit Fest.

Why are we asking for donations?
Pilcrow has a small staff, dedicated to bringing together great writers and publishers in Chicago. Our fundraising goal on May 24 is to raise money for the NOLA Libraries through a silent auction of Rebuilt Books.

Creating and curating a festival takes lots of little things that take a little money.

Name tags, lanyards, printer catridges, a case of wine, cornbread muffins, and other odds and ends that haven't made our list yet.

Since many of our friends can't volunteer time, they asked to make it easy to donate money. And so we are using ChipIn. The goal? To raise money to throw the event which will raise, we hope, buckets of money for New Orleans Libraries.
